What is Caller ID?
The Caller ID (CLI) is the number that's displayed on the called person's phone screen. It allows to identify the caller.
Where can I set my Caller ID?
You can set Caller ID in your Call2Friends account. In order to do that log in your account, go to the settings and choose Caller ID option.
Initially Caller ID is not set. You will see a text box for your Caller ID input. Fill in the number and confirm it by providing us the verification code. You will receive verification code by SMS on the number you've just entered. Once the phone number has been verified, it will be used as your Caller ID.
Why is my Caller ID showing up not as what I set?
Make sure you're using the paid calls service and you set the Caller ID right. Connect with us if the problem still exists. Also some countries' telecom regulators are against Caller ID alternation or simply doesn't support this functionality.
SMS is not delivered.
Kindly check that phone number is entered in international format. Also bear in mind that we can only guarantee message delivery between 9am to 9pm. Messages submitted after 9pm we will attempt to send, but due to local regulations, these messages may be blocked or queued.
Can I set the Caller ID without SMS verification?
This feature can provoke Caller ID spoofing which is against the law. So no prank calls, sorry.
Is the Caller ID free to me?
Yes, it's a completely free. To use it you should have positive balance status.
Can I use my local phone number?
Yes, if you confirmed it using SMS verification.
Can I set the unknown number as Caller ID?
We can't hide phone numbers at all. Address your inquiries to our email [email protected].
Can I pass Caller Name?
Yes, you can set the Caller Name in your VoIP program settings. Caller Name will be passed along with Caller ID.
